Primitive Valentine art doll

This little 10 inch one of a kind, Valentine's Day art doll is primitively handmade without the use of a sewing machine.

Her face, body and hands are made from needle sculpted coffee stained muslin. Her arms and legs are made from cotton material in maroon and tan that matches the dress she is wearing. Over the top of her dress is a little coffee stained muslin apron with a bow in the back. She holds a coffee stained tan and maroon cotton ticking heart pillow in her lap.

I used fibers for her hair in varigations of shades of light and dark auburn and highlights of pale blonde. She has a few dark strands in it too to give her depth.

Valentina's face was hand drawn and sealed to protect it from fading and dust.

Available to read more about or purchase on Etsy $39.99 postage paid.

Primitive Handmade art doll

This small primitive, ooak, art doll is 10 inches tall and named Tiffani. Her body and legs were made of red and white checked cotton fabric. Her hands and face were made from coffee stained muslin and she has needle sculpted hands and nose.

She has a hand drawn face that I sealed to protect it from dust and fading. She wears a red dress with a darker red swirl on it and matching ribbons around her pig tails in her hair. She wears a white vintage scalloped slip of cotton under her dress and I also made her black shoes to wear.

For her hair I chose a fiber yarn and then cut it into the style I wanted. She has pig tails tied up high on the top.

Tiffani is completely primitively handmade without the use of a sewing machine. To read more about her or purchase $39.99 postage paid visit my Etsy shop. My handmade dolls are not meant for children.

Cheers Folk Art Snowman

Let It Snow All Year Round! A cheerful fella, this snowman has been painted on 9x12 recycled canvas with acrylic paints. His canvas home was discovered as a previous painting, unloved, in a resale shop. I swooped down and snatched it up, brought it home and cleaned / prepped it for a brand new painting. I can see snowman life renewed in items that have been left to fend for themselves.
